Late today we received notice that Judge Thomas Schroeder has granted the motion by the plaintiffs in the Carcaño case for a preliminary injunction. 

NCCU Chancellor Debra Saunders-White to Take Medical Leave of Absence; Provost Johnson Akinleye Named Acting Chancellor

North Carolina Central University Chancellor Debra Saunders-White, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer, has requested a medical leave of absence in order to fully focus her energies on her treatment.

Eleven North Carolina educators to travel to Singapore to study math, science teaching techniques

Eleven middle school and high school educators from North Carolina will travel to Singapore July 15-24 to learn about the best practices of teaching mathematics and science from their counterparts in one of the world’s most-acclaimed education systems.
