Coley Hughes, a student in East Carolina University's graduate coastal management resources program submitted the photo above showing Hughes participating in a striped bass tagging program to study fish movement and survivability. A finalist for the 2014 Picture This: UNC Research Photo Contest, Hughes' research helps managers better understand the habitat areas, survival growth and movement patterns of striped bass.
